    Jon Sears
I nominate Jon from SIU for this because he is probably the hardest faller I have ever seen. He is always pushing himself to get better, but with that comes some nasty falls. Some were so entertaining that we dedicated an entire instagram post to a “wipe out wednesday” of JUST Jon. On a jump, he flew 100 feet straight to his back out of the ski’s, so it really wouldn’t surprise us if he hit the side curtain (it’s on the Instagram for proof).

Alex from SIU was really a top scorer and put a lot of time and points up for us. He has improved a ton with his trick run and just over the past fall it was awesome to see. His jumps were pretty stellar at around 90 and I think he deserves recognition for his hard work!

Ryan from SIU was one of the most supportive skiers on our team this year. He is a sophomore and was voted to be our present at the end of the fall season because of his awesome support and leadership on the team. He was always up for the early skiers and helping them focus in on what their goals were for the day. Showing up and exemplifying patience to the new members was really encouraging and helped bring everyone closer together. I have literally never seen him miss/not pay attention to one of our skiers. Ryan rocks!

    Sean Freitag
I would like to nominate Sean Freitag for the hardest worker award for everything that he did for our team this fall. Not only is he an incredible skier but went above and beyond to help our team become more self-sustainable. Rain or shine, Sean was at the lake fixing the course or improving our equipment to make everyone else’s life easier. For example, Sean spent a few weeks of his own time taking our ramp out of the water and striping it completely to repaint and refresh it just in case we have a spring tournament. Taking his own time and money to do these things is just a small part of what he really does for the team. AND after everything was done he would spend extra time to improve his own skills. His dedication to this team is incredible and his hard work and organization will hopefully lead us to a successful team in the next few years.
