Alyssa Hinden! I’m not sure if we’re supposed to write anything here, but Lyss has improved drastically as a skier and leader on our team. She is largely responsible for our success and receiving the team of the year award. She also helps out team Midwest in many ways, and passionately supports the sport. Please keep her in mind when deciding who receives this award!

    Emily O’Connor
Emily helped pull practice this year, she served as our president for a year where she was able to secure our team its very own trailer! And she decked out the inside to make traveling easier. Her and her parents were always providing food, snacks and scoring help at tournaments. Plus she PBed this year at regionals with 1,310 points in trick!

Emily O’Connor deserves Most Outstanding Senior Female. Emily is a veteran to the KU team and has been heavily involved for the past 3 years. Unfortunately, KU was unable to compete the entire 2021 fall season due to university problems, but Emily took over as president that following spring and completely turned KU around. Thanks to her help, KU was than able to host a tournament that spring and resume competing in all of the tournaments to come. During her time as president KU went to D1 nationals and placed 9th! She also obtained a trailer for the team, which was not easy. I got to directly hear from her what a nightmare it was to have the school purchase it, insure it, and license it. It was a complicated project that took her a lot of time, but in the end it greatly helped the team. Also during her presidency KU grew in members, obtained thousands in donations, regained a healthy relationship with with the school, and so much more.
Emily wasn’t president this season, but she still had a big impact on the team. She’s someone the newer members can easily reach out to and ask questions. Emily is very knowledgeable about the sport of waterskiing and helps out as an assistant judge. Not to mention her impactful scores! At regionals this year she took 5th place overall, earning her team a ton of points!
There’s so much more Emily has done for her team and that I haven’t mentioned or haven’t even noticed. She’s an invaluable senior and she’ll be missed by her team.

    Anna Jaeger!!
Anna has been with our team for 3 years and she has had such a positive impact on the team. She is big leader on our team in everything we do. She is great at recruiting new members and making them feel welcome, a fantastic coach at practice, and a great person to have around at tournaments. We can always count on Anna to bring our team together and keep everyone going.

    Jalin Olson

Jalin from gv had great senior season and became one of our most valuable skiers. She skied every chance she could get this summer and it showed this season in all three events! She locked down a 650+ pt run and sent it off the ramp with big stomps every tournament. With our team’s limited access to a slalom course, she took every opportunity she could get on the course and got it before the season! She podiumed 2nd for overall and trick and 3rd in jump at allentucky, 3rd for overall and trick at ripfest, and 5th in trick at conferences! Jalin’s dedication to the team led to a lot of our team points, and she overall had an awesome senior season!
