Joe came into this season as someone who brings the entertainment and the energy. He is someone who always breaks the ice to everyone conversations (and once you start one about waterskiing, good luck getting out of it). All joe wanted to do was learn more and more about jumping. He was always the last one to go to bed, and the first one up without losing any excitement throughout the weekend. Joe is someone who always knows how to put a smile on your face no matter the situation. His fearlessness on the ramp is what makes him the rookie of year with his amazing performance as he grasp jumping like he was born to do it. Joe was our most consistent rookie jumper and definitely the most supportive!Sam Mills

I don’t even know where to start. Her performances on the water are eye catching every time. Her complete ski profile throughout all three events is just insane taking the number 1 woman’s skier at conferences. Her waterskiing IQ is through the roof. She’s our go to coach anytime there is someone leanring a new trick or just struggling that day. I’ve learned so much about waterskiing and the mental game of waterskiing from Anj. I never knew there was more to waterskiing than waterskiing until I met Anj. Her inside and outside knowledge of waterskiing is amazing. Her commitment and consistency is a key point in our success. Anj is always cheering us up and getting our team going with her outstanding performances!

Before I came to Western in the fall I hadn’t skied much, but when I was determined to get better Kyle was just as or if not more determined to help me get better. Kyle helped me get up on 1 ski even though I struggled and it took a while he stuck with me through my frustration. Every time one of our teammates is about to leave the dock for their run, he’s always the first person to be standing on the dock waiting for them to take off. Since I joined the ski team Kyle has not only became a friend on the ski team but a friend outside of the ski team. Kyle’s dedication for waterskiing goes beyond anyone’s dedication for a sport I’ve seen. The whole fall season Kyle dealt with a nagging ankle injury. When he wasn’t skiing he was nursing his injury 24/7 but still determined to compete in his next event.
