Rhett Bendure is most likely to go pro. Rhett’s rate of progress on the water is like nothing I’ve seen before. He became an incredible 3 event skier in less than 4 years. Rhett finished last year running 2 @35 off 36 mph. He made it on Miami’s record book for trick and slalom. He also tricked 1250 after just starting a few seasons ago. Rhett is definitely most passionate about slalom and I could see him going pro. He skis every day and has never turned down an opportunity to get through a course. Rhett has won most improved at the Miami Waterski banquet for the last 3 years. I think that is a testament to the kind of skier he is to be able to be the most improved every year.
Rhett Bendure has been instrumental in pushing Miami’s team to their limits and the entire Midwest. Rhett never ran a pass before college and he finished out his last season running a couple at 35 off 36 mph at nationals. Rhett is more than deserving of this honor. Rhett pushes people and has tokened the word ‘grit’ which is really the best word to describe Rhett in general. Whether it’s fixing someone’s ski, changing the oil on the boat, or giving tips to new skiers and old, Rhett is always around and is always trying to improve the team. Miami Waterski would not be where it is today without Rhett.
