Miami University President Cam Kerns not only has impressive scores in all three events, but has led Miami to Back to back years in Division 1 Nationals which hadn’t been done since 2012. Cam has put his heart and soul into this team without expecting any recognition or praise. Most of his work for this team goes unnoticed, but is essential to our success. He has set a leadership example for this team and will be leaving this team better than when he joined it.
Joey (JJ) Mascadri has hit the side curtain attempting an 100 foot jump on a wakeboard. He has even broken a wakeboard on a jump before, but he went on to using someone else’s to hit his PB of 89ft.
Miami University’s Katie Harvat is the most supportive and hardworking skiers I have ever seen. I have never seen her miss picking up a skier after their run to tunnel them out of the water even if it is the last skier of the day. She puts her all into everything she does for this team and was recently elected Vice President. This past season she worked tirelessly every tournament making sure things were organized and skis were where they needed to be. I remember our B team trick all needed the same skis and Katie alone volunteered to keep running up and down the lake to return the skis. She always puts every one before herself and is the best role model for our team.
