ParticipantAndy Olson- Andy was the key to success for our team this season. As a member of our e-board he took on many projects outside of his job description, going above and beyond.
This season Andy worked with Tommy’s of Detroit to lock down an amazing 2017 Malibu boat for our team’s use. A boat without a lake would have been useless, so Andy made sure to keep on good terms with the ski club at Belleville Lake. This included help in maintaining the course and setting up buoys across the lake to help protect it. The beautiful 2017 boat was not without issues, but luckily Andy knew just what to do as a naval engineering student.
At tournaments Andy handled all of the team’s finances. He also used those finances to not only purchase, but often prepare meals for the entire team!
Andy set up a team trip to Bennet’s Ski school at the end of last season and he is currently working on setting up another following this semester.
On the water Olson has come a long way. He went from shadowing the course during the summer, to getting into 30 mph! Andy lands every jump he takes off of the ramp and continues to work hard and improve in trick. Olson’s work ethic all around has made our team stronger.Lindsay Grajek
ParticipantKaleigh Carlone- For those of you know don’t recognize the name I am sure that you would recognize the voice. KC, as we like to call her, was our team’s spirit captain this season. She was on the dock all day, leading cheers and dancing with all of her might. The amount of energy KC brought to the dock at each tournament would match that of the energy expenditure during a marathon!
Not only was KC our greatest cheerleader, she was also a kind friend who was there for anyone on the team. She made friends with every new member and also made it a point to get to know those on other teams.
Though KC is a brainiac taking crazy difficult courses, she still made the team a priority and attended every single ski event this fall.Lindsay Grajek
ParticipantAlex Clark- Alex attended many tournaments this season including Regionals and Nationals. He served as a driver, judge and most importantly.. a handsome cheerleader ;). His love of skiing helped athletes from many different Universities improve their skill sets this season. Alex is also a member of the alumni committee. (Plus he brings his dog Walter around and what else could make us happier?)

ParticipantJackie Hardie- Jackie joined The University of Michigan’s ski team this season as a freshman. (Actually we hunted her down because we heard whispers that she could shred). Lucky for us the rumors were true! Due to some darn gates Jackie’s PB was 4 bouys at 28 mph hour this season, but we know she can run that easily and more! Her form is going to take her very far in the years to come.
Jackie also learned trick and jump this season. We could always count on her to pull out a land when we needed it most!-

ParticipantAndrew Dicks- Dicks is the entire package when it comes to collegiate skiing.
Off the water he is always a leader in spirit, sporting all that maize and blue. On the dock, Dicks inspires everyone nearby with his vocal talents and sick moves (basically you can’t help but ski your best when he has gone into “sicko mode”).
At practice Dicks is always there to help, whether he is coaching, driving or cleaning the boat. There is nothing this guy can’t do! Dicks also plans many team bonding events on campus so we don’t have to wait until tournaments to see one another.
As a skier Dicks was 5th round in every event for the University of Michigan. His consistency helped earn the team a spot at Nationals and Dicks himself a spot on the Regional Podium! This season he smashed his PB in every event and continued to improve each practice because of his immense passion for the sport.
It is a pleasure to watch this guy on the water and even more so to call him a friend. Dicks is a real class act. VOTE DICKS
